This Egyptian bedroom took a great deal of research. It shows the bedroom of young Pharaoh Tutankhamun. The entire room is handpainted... from floor to ceiling... it took a total of 6 hours to paint each band of color.
"The Muse of Discord, 1932" by C. David Claudon This art deco penthouse living room includes an elevator, fireplace and "metal" fish sculpture. The room was transported to Hawaii to a miniature show and sold after the show was closed. The buyer said it reminded her of the place where she was raised.
"The Night Companions, 1984" by C. David ClaudonThe baglady in the doorway was inspired by a woman who lived on 42nd Street in New York. Note the two cats... one sleeping beside the baglady and the guard cat in the store window. The room is currently in The Carole & Barry Kaye Museum of Miniatures in Los Angeles. "I'll Be Home for Christmas," by C. David Claudon Listening to Christmas carols on radio, the elderly woman pauses decorating her Christmas tree. The stone fireplace, designed by Braxton Payne, was a souvenir at a NAME houseparty. Also from NAME is the old upright radio. The chair at right is cast metal painted. The firescreen and lamp are by the Kummerows. The cat on the right chair is studying two mice that are under the chair. The fire in the fireplace is created by silcone glue and a miniature light. I painted the figure and it was dressed by my wife. This page was created by C. David Claudon. Last revised September 2, 2003 . [
